Our Qualifications

After graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree In Financial Services in 1987, Sharon began her career specializing in pension plans for educators. While Sharon continues to work extensively with teaching professionals, she also assists business owners and individuals alike with various aspects of financial planning and benefits including retirement plans, insurance, investments, and estate planning. Sharon is an Investment Advisory Representative and a Registered Representative with FSC Securities Corporation. She is a member of the National Tax Shelter Accounts Association (NTSAA)and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).  Sharon also hold Board positions with H.O.U.S.E. Inc. and the Express to Success Network of the American Business Women's Association. Sharon and her husband, Frank, live in Livermore with their two children, Jacqueline and Garrett and their French Bulldog, Savannah. She enjoys reading and traveling.

Mia Gagliardi, CFP

Mia Gagliardi is a Registered Principal, and Investment Advisory Representative with FSC Securities Corporation. She received her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1997 through the College for Financial Planning and the U.C. Berkeley Extension Certification Program.  In 1986, Mia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's College. Prior to joining Cents & Sensibility, Inc., Mia had her own Financial Planning and Investment Advisory Firm.  For the past 20 years, she has been dedicated to assisting individual and business clients in identifying financial goals, delivering caring service, and providing professional advice to help them realize those goals.    She has served as a Board Member to the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce (1997-1999), and was active in The Alamo Rotary Club from 1994 - 2000, including receiving the Rotarian of the Year Award in 1998-1999.  Mia and her husband, Tom Bowen, live in Danville with their children, Andrew, Peter, and McKenna.  She enjoys reading, travel, and sports. 

Laurie began her business career in 1983, after graduating from California State University Hayward with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Prior to coming to Cents & Sensibility, Laurie was a general ledger manager for a Fortune 500 company in Silicon Valley. She keeps the office running smoothly with her amazing organizational skills. Laurie's hobbies include cooking, reading and traveling. Laurie lives in Livermore with her cats, Dixie and Casey.

Mari joined Cents & Sensibility with an extensive office skills background working for more than 15 years as an assistant and manager for attorneys and realtors.  Mari has an AA in Administration of Justice from Ohlone College.  She is a busy mom, holding the office of Vice President for her children's PTA and is also a Cal Ripken Little League team mom.  Born in Livermore, Mari currently lives in Fremont with her husband and her two children, Lorenzo and Claudia.
